I'm really curious how far you can take this. Maybe a better diffusion layer, the backlight from the outdoor tv video or maybe playing around with polorization layers.

Nah, the display is way more contrast just because the gamma of the display is entirely wrong.
i wouldnt like to spend that much for a better gaming expierience too… silently buying a 3000 dollar machine with 1200watts power consumption

ok all some monitorbrands have to do is double the lcd layer or making the crystals deeper to get this result and also make the backlight brighter/stronger.
This would be possible to make without making the monitor this big. They have to cool down the monitor maybe but with more passive coolers this will work
