With the help of a parent, let’s learn how to make our very own Octonauts soap in different shapes and colors!
SOAP SUPPLIES:
Glycerin (we started with a batch of 300ml to fill multiple molds, but you can adjust depending on the size and quantity of your molds)
Bowls
Liquid Dye
Molds in any shape you’d like
Spray bottle with rubbing alcohol (used to eliminate air bubbles after we pour the soap into the molds)
Figurines, beads, or laminated character cutouts (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS:
1) Put glycerin cubes in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave until melted.
2) Separate melted glycerin into different bowls to make different color soaps.
3) Add a couple of drops of liquid dye to each bowl of melted glycerin.
4) Prep the molds by spraying rubbing alcohol.
5) Pour soap into the molds, fill half way if you plan to add optional decoration.
6) Add figurines, beads, or laminated character cutouts.
7) Fill soap molds to the top.
8) Spray the top of each soap with rubbing alcohol to help eliminate air bubbles.
9) Let harden for 4-6 hours.
10) Pop out of the mold and wash your hands!
